Alexan­der Lowen: A stu­dent of Wil­helm Reich in the 1940s and ear­ly 1950s in New York, Lowen devel­oped bioen­er­getic analy­sis, a form of mind-body psy­chother­a­py, with his then-col­league John Pier­rakos.
